HIGHLY UNIFORM APPLICATION
With an operating pressure range of 45 to 60 psi, these foggers produce an average droplet size of 65 microns (at 60 psi) each and every time. This creates a “blanket of fog” or zone of saturated humidity ideal for rooting. Each nozzle of the 4-Way Fogger has a flow rate of 2.0 GPH.
DEPENDABLE OPERATION
Since the CoolNet Pro Fogger operates on low pressure, there is significantly less wear on the fogger components resulting in less maintenance and reduces overall operating costs. Our fogger system requires 140 mesh filtration eliminating costly filtration systems with intensive maintenance issues. Fogger blockers are available to close off one or more nozzles of the assembly when needed.
SIMPLE INSTALLATION AND DISASSEMBLY
CoolNet Pro Foggers are readily adaptable to existing systems. They are easy to install with fittings common to most hanging assemblies. All it takes is a “twist” and the fogger nozzle can be removed from the center assembly – no tools needed.
RELIABLE CHECK VALVES
Assembled above the CoolNet Pro Fogger head is a high pressure check valve. This check valve ensures that each fogger turns on and off at exactly the same time for effective short cycling. It also prevents water from draining onto the plants or cuttings below after system shut down.
Fogger Installation
PROPAGATION FOR ROOTING – 3’ TO 4’ BENCHES
The height of the fogger assembly should be 18” to 30” above the propagation material. The distance between the fogger assemblies should be 3 feet. (Place the lateral above the center of a 3’ to 4’ bench)
PROPAGATION FOR ROOTING – WIDE BENCHES
For wide benches, up to 8’, use two lines of foggers equally distanced from the center of the bench. For large areas, use one row of foggers for every 4’ width of area to be fogged. 4-Way Fogger units should be placed at 45° angles to one another.
HUMIDIFICATION AND COOLING
- In order to maximize the cooling effect, exhaust fans are recommended to exchange the air about 20 times per hour.
- Cooling considerations include placing foggers as high as possible, avoid spraying against the roof or structure and prevent precipitation by adjusting the cycle time.
- These recommendations are general and should be applied in accordance with local conditions and limitations.
- Duration of pulse and interval is to be fine-tuned according to local conditions; the timing provided is just a starting point.
- For crops that are not sensitive to wetting, the pulse can be prolonged, and/or the interval shortened.
- The spacing in the General Spacing and Operation chart give some reference points between spacing and operation intervals and other spacing can certainly be used with foggers.

COOLNET PRO FOGGER ASSEMBLY COMPONENTS
Components of a CoolNet Pro Fogger Assembly are illustrated below. A complete assembly consists of a Fogger with Check Valve and a Hanging Assembly with Stabilizer Weight – parts are ordered separately. Netafim recommends UV White™ PE Tubing for the Supply Line.
COOLNET PRO FOGGER WITH CHECK VALVE
- Produces a flow rate of 8.1 GPH at 60 psi and has four removable nozzles for easy disassembly and cleaning.
- Standard check valve has purple pin – opens at 28 psi and closes at 13 psi.
- Optional check valve with orange pin – opens at 58 psi and closes at 26 psi.
- Check valve provides instantaneous on-off and prevents line drainage.
HANGING ASSEMBLY WITH STABILIZER WEIGHT
- Super Flex UV White™ 4/7mm Polyethylene tubing made from the highest quality plastics with excellent UV resistance. Our reflective white tubing is completely opaque to prevent algae growth. This tubing is not coated or layered white, it is solid white for long-term durability. It withstands heat, direct sun, harsh chemicals and produces cooler water temperatures enhancing plant growth.
- Barbed end for insertion into the Polyethylene Tubing Supply Line and a female connecter on the other end to attach the Check Valve and Fogger Unit.
- Stabilizer weight keeps the fogger plumb.
OPTIONAL COMPONENTS
- Fogger Blocker allows one or more fogger nozzles to be shut off. This would be applicable for a fogger against a greenhouse wall or at the end of a line. Purchase one fogger blocker per nozzle.
- Retrofit Adapter is used to connect Netafim CoolNet Pro Foggers to other manufacturer’s fittings and it attaches above the check valve.

STEP 1
VISUALIZE THE GREENHOUSE
Evaluate the location of obstacles such as curtains or hanging baskets. Consider aisles and whether they can be wetted. Review cultural practices which might impact the height at which the foggers should be placed.

STEP 2
SELECT THE FOGGER HEAD
Choose the CoolNet Pro Fogger and Check Valve Head Assembly for your application based on the operating pressure. Standard Check Valve with purple pin opens at 28 psi and optional Check Valve with orange pin opens at 58 psi.
STEP 3
SELECT THE FOGGER HANGING ASSEMBLY
Choose the length of the Hanging Assembly (see available options under the Ordering Tab). An extension tubing piece for creating longer lengths is optional. The Hanging Assembly connects to the Polyethylene (PE) Tubing Supply Line and the CoolNet Pro Fogger Head and Check Valve.
A Retrofit Adapter is used to connect Netafim CoolNet Pro Foggers to other manufacturer’s fittings. Netafim recommends placing the foggers 18″ to 30″ above the propagation material.
STEP 4
SIZE THE SUPPLY PIPE
Use the Poly Pipe Sizing chart to select the correct supply pipe size. Low density polyethylene is strongly recommended.
STEP 5
SIZE THE DISTRIBUTOR AND MAINLINE
The remaining piping and system components are sized based upon the maximum flow they will receive. Use the Flow Per Fogger Line chart to determine the flow of a single fogger supply pipe for the length of run in your design. If more than one fogger line will be operated at once, be sure to multiply the flow by the number of lines when sizing the system pipes and components. Pipe size recommendations are guidelines only. For distributor lines over 40 ft., mainlines over 100 ft. or when slopes are a factor, please consult a design professional.
STEP 6
SIZE THE CONTROL HEAD COMPONENTS
The components should be sized according to the flow range shown in the Filter, Valve and Pressure Regulator Sizing chart. The pipe connecting to the components can be of a different size.
STEP 7
STARTING UP A SYSTEM FOR THE FIRST TIME
The most important point to remember when starting up a new system is to flush the mainlines. Debris from construction can otherwise be washed into the sprinklers, resulting in plugging or improper operation. To properly flush a system, first connect all the pipes and hanging assemblies, except the Foggers with the Check Valves. Next, open the ends of the distributor line and the sprinkler supply pipes. Close them off, one by one, starting with the opening closest to the head control, and proceeding to the most distant opening. Only after complete flushing should the Foggers with Check Valves be attached to the hanging assemblies.
