Valves

Netafim Valves provide superior hydraulic performance for both AC and DC Greenhouse or Nursery systems. Our line of nylon and PVC valves, available in several sizes and flow ranges, offer ease of operation and reliability. These valves provide high resistance to corrosive water containing fertilizers and chemicals. Netafim valves are manufactured with the highest quality materials for dependable operation day after day.

SERIES 80 CONTROL VALVES

With lower friction loss providing improved performance, Netafim Series 80 Nylon Control Valves are specifically designed for greenhouse applications. Offered with a nylon body (which is durable and corrosion-resistant), 2-Way or 3-Way electric solenoid and globe or angle configurations. These valves have a quick reaction to opening and closing which is ideal for mist systems. The low inrush and holding currents allows longer wire runs from valve to controller. A new drip-tight diaphragm provides a tight seal. Flow control stem allows manual control and the simple inline installation requires minimal maintenance with maximum dependability.

Electric 3-Way Valves (24VAC)

Available with nylon or PVC body, these valves offer structural simplicity and operate by pipeline or external pressure. The reinforced rubber diaphragm seals the water passage when the line pressure reaches the valve’s control chamber. Only moving component is the diaphragm – no shaft, seals or bearing are located within the water passage resulting in virtually no maintenance. Each valve is simple to install and light-weight with slip or threaded connections.

Pressure Reducing Valves

Pressure Reducing valves maintain a preset downstream pressure, regardless of upstream pressure or flow rate fluctuation. The main valve is controlled by a 3-way pilot – permitting full opening when downstream pressure drops below the set-point. Available in 2″ to 6″ sizes, Nylon or PVC body, and threaded or slip connections.

Installation Tips

Threaded Valve

Use a few layers of Teflon tape or Teflon sealer compound on the adapter and tighten by hand. Use a wrench to tighten the adapter another half revolution.

Socket or Slip” Valve with PVC Pipe

Use the same procedure as when cementing PVC pipes. Mark the pipe first, then apply glue to the socket of the valve and the PVC pipe. Insert the pipe until reaching the mark and rotate a quarter turn. Hold the joint in place until the cement hardens.
